Hi! 👋 I'm Marcin Rybak and I run gohack.in blog. This privacy policy explains what I do with your data when you subscribe to my newsletter.
In short
- The newsletter informs you about new blog posts and interesting tech content
- I only need your email (nothing else!)
- Your data is secure and will never be sold
- You can unsubscribe anytime
What exactly do I collect?
- Your email address
- Information about when you subscribed
- Confirmation that you want to receive the newsletter
How do I use this data?
- I send you information about new blog posts
- Sometimes I share interesting tech-related content
- I track which content interests you most (to write better content!)
How does it work technically?
- I use the Ghost platform to run the blog
- Emails are sent through Mailgun service
- Cloudflare provides secure access to the site (as CDN)
- Hetzner hosts the main site
- OVH stores backups
- All data is stored in the European Union
- I use double opt-in verification - meaning you must confirm your email
Your rights (because GDPR!)
You have the right to:
- Get a copy of your data
- Correct your data
- Delete your data
- Transfer your data elsewhere
- Withdraw your newsletter consent
How to unsubscribe?
It's super simple:
- Click the "unsubscribe" link in any newsletter
- ...and that's it! No questions like "why are you leaving?" 😉
Cookies and tracking
- I use basic analytics to know which content is most useful
- If you click a link in the newsletter, I'll know about it (helps me create better content)
Security
- All data is encrypted in transit
- Security measures are regularly updated
Who has access to the data?
Your data is only accessible to:
- Me (as the administrator)
- Essential technical services:
- Mailgun (newsletter system)
- Cloudflare (CDN)
- Hetzner (hosting)
- OVH (backup)
- All providers comply with GDPR and have offices or servers in the EU
